Theatre memorandum about Anna Politkovskaya
“This story could have started in a thousand ways. With one name, for example. Vladislav Surkov. This gentleman works in the presidential administration. The Kremlin has full confidence in him. They listen to him. In 2005, in an internal circular mail, Surkov wrote verbatim: “Enemies of the state are divided into two categories: those we can reason with and those we are unable to re-educate. It is impossible to have a dialogue with the latter, and that makes them irredeemable. The state must take action and remove the irredeemable from its territory.”
