The idea of the “Class” festival is to introduce the audience to the current trends in the various performing arts, while the special educational programme will give young artists the opportunity to improve their practical skills by meeting and receiving lessons from world-renowned professionals in the field of theatre art.
As the organizers of the festival, we offer a very different approach to introducing young artists from the Bulgarian theatre scene to the international cultural context, namely: by introducing and interacting with current phenomena and emblematic trends in world theatre and performing arts.
Participants in the festival will have the opportunity to see interesting theatrical performances, participate in master classes of significant figures of world culture such as Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Ivan Estegneev, Datta Tavadze and Yuri Butusov. The Bulgarian representatives in this palette of theatre educators will be the actor from the National Theatre “Ivan Vazov” Julian Vergov and Dr. Desislava Stoicheva, lecturer in art management at the National Theatre of Theatre and Theatre “K. Sarafov.
This will be a festival-academy aimed at young professionals who are not indifferent to experience, but are curious and searching, those who are ready for creative discoveries and unexpected impressions, those who have the self-confidence and the ability to go beyond the familiar to discover their own stage language.
